The ideal itinerary covers Orvieto in the morning to continue to Civita to have lunch in one of the many local restaruants.
a lovely village situated on the flat summit of a large butte of volcanic tuff. The site of the city is among the most dramatic in Europe, rising above the almost-vertical faces of tuff c liffs that are completed by defensive walls built of the same stone called Tufo.
After lunch, it's time for a nice ride to Civita di Bagnoregio. The town is noted for its striking position atop a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tiber river valley.
Founded by Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago. Its population dwindled to just 6 residents over the course of the 20th century and is now a very well maintained village perfect for a unique walk.
Back from Civita you can relax about two hours drive to Rome before you are dropped off at your hotel.

Itinerary
- Pick up (Civitavecchia Port, Airport, your accommodation or any other location in Rome) in the morning
- Orvieto. The ride to Orvieto takes about 1 hour and half. The driver will park just outside the pedestrian area and will wait for you to come back after visiting the city.
- Civita di Bagnoregio. Civita is ideal to have a nice lunch in one of the typical restaurants. The ride from Orvieto takes about 45 minutes crossing the spectacular border between Umbria and Lazio region. When in front of Civita the driver will leave you in front of the famous bridge to get to the village
- Drop off (Civitavecchia Port, Airport, your accommodation or any other location in Rome) in the afternoon
