Tour of Assisi and one between Perugia/Orvieto/Spoleto
The tour starts at your hotel in Rome. The driver will pick you up early morning with a top class Mercedes.
The ride to Assisi takes about 2 hours, during the ride you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of Umbria. When in Assisi, the driver leaves you at the entrance of
the pedestrian area so you can explore this enjoyable city. The Basilica di Santa Chiara, Chiesa Nuova where you can see what remains of the St. Francis home,
the city hall, the Basilica di St. Francis and the nice medieval centre.
When you are ready to go, with a 15 minutes ride by car, we stop at Santa Maria degli Angeli (called the Porziuncola) this is an amazing well conserved church
and particularly important because Saint Francis used to spend here a lot of time.
Before going back to Rome there may be time to have a look at one of the nearby cities (Perugia, Spoleto or Orvieto).
In that case tell the driver and you will get an extra stop before driving to your hotel in Rome.

Itinerary
- Pick up at your accommodation in Rome in the morning
- Assisi. The ride to Assisi takes about 2 hour. The driver will park just outside the pedestrian area and will wait for you to come back after visiting the city.
- Poziuncola. 15 minutes ride from Assisi, we stop at Santa Maria degli Angeli (called the Porziuncola)
- Perugia, Orvieto or Spoleto?. There are people who like to spend the entire day in Assisi, but there may be enough time to enjoy an extra stop on the way back to Rome. Perugia, Orvieto and Spoleto are all very interesting small cities that you can visit in a couple of relaxing hours.
